If New Zealand wasn't one of the least accessible places on the planet, and if their musical output in the last couple of years hadn't been hijacked by unfortunate Datsuns clones, we might have heard of Annabel Alpers and her project Bachelorette sooner. But we didn't, so now we're making up for lost time with excessive displays of over-the-top affection.
